Being frequent travelers, we never go anywhere without travel insurance.  We are protected if we have to cancel our trip unexpectedly, there are basic traffic issues like delayed flights, or we have an unforseen accident during travel. 

 

In January of 2020 Robin sprained her ankle at a resort in Cancun.  We contacted the insurance company, started a claim, and was directed to a local hospital.  Our personal insurance was not accepted outside of the US so we would have had to pay the full medical cost up front if we did not have the insurance.  Within 6 hours after the claim was filed, the bill was paid in full to the hospital with no out of pocket funds needed from us.
